SCHOOL'S HISTORY
The School, (pre-primary, primary and college), is located in a beautiful suburb of Lagos, fronting the busy and fast-growing Addo-Badore road on one side, and is situated within a new, mixed development housing estate on the college side.
Liberty Bells (pre-primary and primary), opened its classrooms to the first handful of students and teachers in September, 2008. Since then, enrolment has been phenomenal, and both the pre-primary and primary schools have contested in and won various academic distinctions around Lagos state. Within the community, the school is highly respected and regarded as a beacon of light in the Ajah-Badore axis of Lagos.
Liberty Bells College commenced business on 14th September, 2009, with thirteen students, five teachers and one non- teaching staff. In three short years, the student population has become almost 50, and growing. It sat for its first junior WAEC (B.E.C.E.) examinations in June, 2010 with excellent results. Students have also sat for the SSS3 WASSC and NECO examinations with a 100% success rate, many of the students scoring top grades in all subject areas.
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION SCHOOL APPROVAL AND EXAMINATION BODIES APPROVAL
I. The college obtained its approval letter from the Ministry of Education in the year 2010.
II. The West African Examinations Council 2011
III. The National Examinations Council approval was obtained in 2012.
IV. The Basic Education Certificate approval was received in 2012.
V. The British Council approval for Checkpoint and IGCSE was received in 2011.
ACHIEVEMENT OF THE COLLEGE SO FAR (EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES)
I. At the recent Tim communication's LTD Quiz Competition with the theme “Let's throw some punches’’: Liberty Bells College won the "Heavy weight" title (i.e. First Position)
II. At the recently organised Nigerian Environmental Society/ Shell Nigeria Ltd Quiz Competition, Liberty Bells College won the first Runner Up Prize
III. At the Jube Sports Centre Lekki, ( Swimming competition), Liberty Bells College won the second and third positions.
INTERNAL EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
1. SEASONAL Mathematics competition for Schools around Lekki Penisula
2. Inter class debates/ spelling competitions and Quiz.
3. Junior writers Club (every Friday)
4. Excursions to places/sites of interest. We have visited Olumo rock, Abeokuta, Slave trade sites, Badagry, etc.
5. Sporting activities are held every Friday featuring various games and sports.
6. External guests are regularly invited for Seminars/ conferences on health, the economy, Morals in society, citizenship. etc
